IT Infrastructure Engineer

 ( Data Center Infrastructure and Cloud Computing )
 

Job Summary:

 

We are looking for a motivated and highly IT Infrastructure Engineer to Provide Professional IT Services Including, Installation, Configuration, and Support for Servers, Storage (on-premises and Cloud), and related Equipment and Software.

Duties for the Infrastructure Engineer will include designing, managing, monitoring, and maintaining our customers' computer systems and networks and ensuring that systems are configured correctly and are running efficiently.

 

Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

 

 2-3 years of experience.

Very Good knowledge in below topics "certifications is preferred.

Virtualizations Solutions (Hyper-V, VMWARE) and Desktop Virtualizations "VDI" .

Servers ("Rack Mount/Blade") and converged and hyper-converged infrastructure.

SAN/NAS Storage Solutions "Preferred NetApp".

High Availability Solutions.

Data Protection, Disaster Recovery and Backup Solutions "Commvault, Veritas or VEEAM"

Good knowledge in (Computer Network and Security and Cloud Computing (Azure or AWS).

Microsoft Domain Services (Active Directory (Parent, child, Additional), DNS, DHCP, Print Server, WSUS and file Server

Good analytical and decision-making skills.

Strong communication skills.

Good problem-solving skills.

 

Main TASKS:

 

Install new hardware or software systems or components, ensuring integration with existing systems.

Data Center facilities operation and maintenance.

Perform in-site and Remote Hands services for Customers, including (Servers and Storage) Hardware Installation, Power Strips, Rails, Cable       Management.

Work with customer teams to identify and deliver required service levels and ensure SLA delivery.

Troubleshoot Computer network or connectivity problems for users or user groups Identify the causes of networking problems.

Document Systems and network support activities, Customers' IT inventory and Document customer requests and their incident resolutions.

Create or update technical documentation for new systems installations or changes to existing installations.

Report customer status and incidents via ticketing system and email.

Closely work with Team Leader to report work progress and consult on technical issues.

Collaborate with Project Management team to get oriented on and acquainted with projects requirements.

Conduct detailed surveys on the customer's site to identify their systems requirements

Ensure proper and timely installation of the solution infrastructure.

Install and configure software and applications at the customers' site, then ensure their proper working condition through testing.

Prepare the required documentation on solutions delivered for clients, such as environment diagrams, installation/configuration documents, and release notes.

Provide technical support and administrative training for customers

IT specialist
 

 

Job Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

 

 

 2+ years hands-on IT or Data Center with experience in UPS Installation.

  Experience in APC UPS installation and error diagnosis is a must.

 Strong Computer Skills and UPS experience with the Ability to Troubleshoot and Diagnose Problems.

  Familiarity with both Laptops and Servers and Software.

  Experience with Network Repairs and Analysis.

  Good Customer Service Skills.

  Ability to Communicate Effectively to help employees fix their issues.

  Good English skills.

 

Main Tasks

  

 

Perform routine maintenance or standard repairs and diagnose to ( UPS ) specially APC UPS "is a must"

Hardware Installation in the rack "Servers, Storage, UPS, Tape autoloader, switches"

Rack and stack "Cable management, labeling"

Prepare Laptops for new hires (installing windows and Drivers) and Email setup.

Perform servers firmware upgrade.

Ability to open tickets with Vendors for any Hardware issues.

Responding to customers queries email or phone.

Help other staff members on troubleshooting and diagnosing problems.

Perform in-site and Remote Hands services for Customers including; Hardware Installation, Cable Management and Customer Equipment troubleshooting/reboots.

Install and configure Printers and Scanners.

Resolving network and Monitoring internet issues.

Following up with users to ensure full resolution of issues.

basic Windows troubleshooting skills "email issues, print issues, etc.."

Good Knowledge in LAN and WAN Administration.

Good Knowledge in Domain Network Administration, Users Permissions, Profiles, DHCP, and DNS
